John C. Drygas, M.D., M.S. - Neurosurgery

Dr. John C. Drygas, M.D., M.S. is a Board Eligible neurosurgeon. He was born and raised in NY where he graduated from Binghamton University with a BS in biochemistry. He then attended graduate school at New York University where he studied immunology and molecular biology. Dr. Drygas is a graduate of Albany Medical College, receiving his MD in 2001. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis with research interests in vaccines for brain tumors. He relocated to Florida to begin his neurosurgical career in 2007. Dr. Drygas is currently holding his clinic at the Florida Spine Institute and is involved in developing the Neuroscience and Spine Institute at Largo Medical Center. Dr. Drygas is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. His areas of interest include minimally invasive treatment of neurological disorders, brain tumors, neck and back pain, including cervical and lumbar disc replacement for motion preservation. Dr. Drygas and the Florida Spine Institute offer comprehensive adult spine care including all manners of surgical and non-surgical care.
