Gordon N. Holen, D.O. - Orthopaedic Spine Surgery
Dr. Gordon N. Holen, D.O. is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in spine surgery. He was born and raised in Michigan. He completed his undergraduate degree in finance at Michigan State University Magna Cum Laude, followed by obtaining an osteopathic medical degree at Michigan State. Dr. Holen completed a traditional rotating internship and orthopedic surgical residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI. He spent 3 months doing pediatric orthopedics at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He also spent 6 months doing orthopaedic trauma surgery at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Holen spent 2 years in private practice in rural Michigan doing general orthopedic surgery including sports medicine, total joint replacement, and trauma surgery. He then pursued a year long subspecialty fellowship training in orthopaedic spine surgery at the Florida Spine Institute. After this, he completed additional fellowship training with Dr. Anthony Yeung in Phoenix, AZ in minimally invasive, laser assisted arthroscopic spine surgery. Dr. Holen’s practice includes comprehensive adult spine care with an emphasis on cutting edge minimally invasive spine techniques and motion preservation surgery.
