Florida Spine Institute offers fellowships in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Orthopaedic Spine Surgery. We bring together a unique, diversified team of Board Certified medical staff and healthcare professionals in the areas of, Anesthesiology, Neurology, Pain Management, Physiatry, Physical Therapy, and Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation The PM&R is designed to provide BC/BE physiatrists the opportunity to be educated and trained in the theory and practice of musculoskeletal disorders pertaining to the spine. Fellows are introduced to the basic principles of diagnosis and management, including specific treatments and modalities. A research project related to spinal disorders for publication will also be completed. The fellowship is for 1 year from July 1st to June 30th.
Orthopedic Spine Surgery Orthopedic Spine Surgery provides a comprehensive training experience in all aspects of spinal surgery. The fellows work directly with three spine surgeons within the practice, learning minimally invasive surgical techniques as well as anterior and posterior approaches to the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine with, and without, instrumentation systems.
